I´m back. Yesterday I couldn´t reach the website about the password changing link. But today it works. What happened here, that I should change my password ?

There has been an attack on WordPress-run websites. You know how when you log in to the website and can add your own content? That’s called a “content management system” and there has been a “brute force attack” on websites that run this type of system! So, to be safe, I had all administrators change their passwords and I have done this on my other websites as well!

My web host was nice enough to tell us (the clients) about what was happening and told us that it is targeting people with the name “admin”.

So, I guess we technically didn’t have to change our passwords, but I would rather be safe than sorry! Ideally, you should change passwords to things every 30-90 days. Like your email, billing accounts, etc. That way it’s not so easy for someone to guess your password!

I had you and Gry change your passwords because if your screen names were “hacked” by this attack, it could affect the entire site! (This goes for me, too!!)

If they went after “admin”, I wouldn`t be surprised if they had all 3 of us included. -The word has been used in several occations as to tell people who we are/our function on the site..

Is the administrator page gone, b.t.w?..

No. The name they specifically targeted was “admin”. Your login name is Gry or something like that and mine is Angelica. So we would not have been attacked (yet).

I removed it because it seemed silly
